The Process

My passion for blending photography and art started in the early 1980s as I was beginning my travels through the Middle East and Asia. As I grew up learning photography by shooting on film, I have found it to be an enjoyable challenge to alter my craft using many different medias to make my photographs even more unique, vibrant, and even for some to look like paintings.

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and my work is a culmination of over 30 years including now using this combination of medias to create a Portfolio of my fine art photography. In the past few years, I have started using many techniques blending film and post-digital manipulation to create a painterly look giving my images an even more memorable effect than ever before, while also keeping the mixture of light and form true to the art of the photographic image. You will notice some of the images seem like acrylic paintings and all of the colors throughout the entire series seem so vivid. This is because as I began to dabble in the digital world, which ironically enough I used to despise, and I started mastering ways to create these one-of-a-kind pieces of art that people fall in love with.

I cover a broad range of locations, subjects, and styles, within my constantly updated gallery of images – this is why I feel my work appeals to so many different people. There is truly one of many images for every art lover within my catalogue, which spans almost three decades. All of the images are printed custom, using the highest quality ink, on long lasting material, and come ready to hang.
